The aim of this class is to be able to identify in the field 50 or more trees from the local Goulburn and ACT region. Mainly native trees but some exotics.

Since the aim is Identification in the field rather than detailed study of individual species we will produce a single page loose leaf ID fact sheet for each tree as the course progresses.

The class will meet every two weeks at the depot for 2 hours with some time visiting local tree specimens.

We will use our phone cameras and flat bed scanners to record tree details including GPS co-ordinates.

Our U3A recommends and encourages the use of FOSS software for all classes.
